1) Cancellations (that are not rescheduled) must be received at least 48 hours prior to initial check-in date to avoid implementing the Cancellation Policy (below).
2) Check-in is 2:00 to 9:00PM. Check-Out is 11:00 AM EST daily. Late check out requests result in increased payroll costs to us. As a result, the following additional charges to your bill will be applied. Late check out till 12 noon: $15.00, to 1pm., $20.00, from 1pm. to 3pm., 1/2 price of your daily rate and after 3pm., full price of your daily rate.
Please call for other needs. Late arrivals must notify management 24 hours prior to check-in so that arrangements can be made.
3) In our one bedroom suites: occupancy over 2/room is an additional $20.00/person/night (no more than 3 persons per room). In our 2 bedroom suites: occupancy is no more than four people.
4) ALL ROOMS AND INTERIORS ARE STRICTLY NON-SMOKING.
Smoking is allowed on the front or back porches of all buildings. Any incident of interior smoking will result in a $100 cleaning fee per occurrence, and may also result in immediate eviction of all occupants with no refund.
5) You are responsible for the safety and good order of all equipment and other property owned by The Chesapeake Hotel, and are liable for said equipment and other property if it is lost, stolen, damaged or misplaced. The Chesapeake Hotel reserves the right to charge customer for damage to furniture or interior upon check-out.
6) The Chesapeake Hotel and/or its employees are not responsible for any damages due to loss or theft during your stay or items left behind after check-out. Please provide a secure place for your belongings. We will make every attempt to secure any personal items left behind in the room following check-out and will hold said items for a period of thirty (30) days. During these thirty (30) days the guest may request to have item(s) sent to them and said guest will be charged postage and handling for the return of said items. After the thirty (30) day period any items will then be given to charity when appropriate.
7) All charges are subject to Maryland Sales Tax (6%).
8) THE CHESAPEAKE HOTEL RESERVES THE RIGHT TO IMMEDIATELY EVICT GUESTS WITHOUT REFUND AT ANY TIME IF, IN THE CHESAPEAKE HOTELS SOLE OPINION, GUEST BEHAVIOR IS IRRESPONSIBLE AND/OR MAY PLACE THE CHESAPEAKE HOTELS PROPERTY, OTHER GUESTS, BUSINESS INTERESTS AND/OR STAFF AT RISK.
9) CANCELLATION POLICY: FOR CANCELLATIONS RECEIVED LESS THAN 48 HOURS PRIOR TO YOUR STAY, WE WILL ATTEMPT TO RE-BOOK THE ROOM. IF THE ROOM IS RE-BOOKED, YOU ARE NO LONGER RESPONSIBLE FOR THE ROOM CHARGES. IF THE ROOM IS NOT RE-BOOKED, THE GUEST WILL BE CHARGED ONE NIGHT'S STAY OR 50% OF THE STAY IF LENGTH OF STAY IS MORE THAN TWO NIGHT'S. GUESTS WHO SHORTEN THEIR VISIT WITHIN THE TEN DAY CANCELLATION PERIOD ARE ALSO SUBJECT TO THE SAME POLICY. GUESTS WHO SHORTEN THE LENGTH OF THE RESERVATION DURING THEIR STAY MUST PAY FOR THE ENTIRE LENGTH OF STAY AND WILL BE REFUNDED ONLY IF THE ROOM(S) ARE RE-RENTED.
10) PET POLICY: NO PETS ALLOWED UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES. ANY GUEST IN VIOLATION OF THIS POLICY WILL BE ASKED TO LEAVE IMMEDIATELY, CHARGED A $100 CLEANING FEE, AND WILL NOT BE ELIGIBLE FOR ANY REFUNDS.
